Skippers Inn in Baltrum

Unfortunately only 4 points. There was nothing wrong with the food and service. Service attentive and friendly. Especially with fish, dishes that change daily. Prices typical of the island. The point deduction was perhaps due to the corona (vacation in early October). We had ordered the table for 6 p.m. and were extremely surprised that it was again reserved for other people from 7:30 p.m. Due to the short kitchen times and the high level of crowds, this may be necessary, but we haven't seen it in any other restaurant. A corresponding note when making the reservation would have been nice.

Unfortunately we couldn't travel to Baltrum in 2020. But we hope for the year 2021 and then SKIPPER'S INN will definitely be a destination for us again. We were very satisfied with the service + with the food!

Very good restaurant. Friendly staff. The food is very good and nicely presented. A bad choice for the hungry. Therefore, the bottom line is a bit too expensive. You could pay with an EC card.

We ate very well here. Fish burger with homemade meatball, of course. Delicious matjes bruschetta and an equally delicious pasta dish with samphire. Unfortunately, you don't see it on the menus that often. A clear recommendation to come here if you like dishes with a modern interpretation. The owners are also very nice and attentive.

Unfriendly!!!!! We sat on the terrace for about 30 minutes and waited so we could order something. The landlord or waiter or whatever he was was outside twice during this time, looked at us but that was it. Then he'd rather clear away plates in peace and quiet and talk. He didn't even come to us and didn't say that he'd be there soon and didn't bring a card. He didn't even greet us! Now you could think that it was very full and he was stressed. This was NOT the case. (a word would have been good anyway). But there were hardly any guests anyway! We can also imagine why! Unfriendly and incompetent !!!!!! So we went then. Apparently this shop doesn't want to make any sales! Even 1 star is too many.

The ambience of the Skippers' Inn is terrific, no question about it. The prices are peppered! € 13 for a burger without a side dish and a roll that is not even baked is almost cheeky. We were only offered side dishes on request. Unfortunately in an arrogant, haughty tone. We were also served the wrong side dish. We didn't get a drinks menu either. We had to guess what to drink. We had to make this experience last year. Apparently only regular customers are served in a friendly and detailed manner. Too bad. No further visit to the Skippers' Inn.

Everything is very delicious, especially the crab soup and the steak! The pasta could use a little more seasoning but otherwise very good. The ambience is nice, the prices are already high, but you can treat yourself to that once on holiday.

The food (we had North Sea Shearling and Pollack wrapped in bacon) was delicious. The staff was very friendly.

Very nice restaurant with a great ambience. The chef does his job at a high level. The dishes are fantastic !!! The staff is very personable and attentive! I like to anchor as a single-handed sailor in the Skippers inn .... ⛵⚓😘 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👌👍
